Tell Us More About The Project & The Client

At Shane Simpson Construction we like to implement early collaboration from the beginning between Architect, Builder and the Client on a transparent basis to engineer out many of the common problems that can be encountered on a project.

By getting it right on paper, we find it helps to maintain a balance for all stakeholders and achieves a positive environment for the project to commence, resulting in a successful project outcome.

Taking this approach can engineer out many of the common problems such as financial stressors like multiple variations, delays and disruption of programming of site works, and wasted time and money.

So we can better understand the project, we would appreciate if you could take some time to answer the following questions, thank you.

HAS THE CLIENT EVER BUILT BEFORE?
HAS THE CLIENT WORKED WITH YOU BEFORE?
HAVE YOU CONTACTED OTHER BUILDERS TO TENDER FOR THIS PROJECT?
ARE ANY OF YOUR OR THE CLIENTS PREFERRED BUILDERS TENDERING ON THE PROJECT?
DO YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT THE BUILD COST MAY BE?
HOW DID YOU ASCERTAIN THE COST?
WILL YOU (THE ARCHITECT) BE ADMINISTERING THE CONTRACT?
IF SO, WILL THERE BE ONE POINT OF CONTACT FOR THE BUILDER TO LIAISE WITH FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROJECT?
WILL YOU BE APPROVING BUILDER CLAIMS?

HAS THE CLIENT INDICATED THE PROJECT NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED BY A KEY DATE?
WILL YOU EXPECT TO SEE SAMPLES OF FINISHES?
WILL YOU REQUIRE SIGN OFF ON SHOP DRAWINGS BEFORE MANUFACTURING CAN COMMENCE?
IS THE BUILDER GOING TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE BUILDING WORKS?
AT THIS STAGE ARE THERE ANY ITEMS THAT YOU HAVE FLAGGED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE CONTRACT WITH THE BUILDER?

Thanks for submitting your feedback!
